The sound is good if not great but overall it totally does the job and my daughter couldn't be happier. My niece is still carrying it around and belting out songs, loves it just as much as She did when she first got it. In the back there is a cord where you can plug in a MP3 player, iPhone, or even an iPad and listen to other music.
