Also, entirely arbitrarily, these units only moves 6” a turn, the slowest in the book. Give this one a miss. Scriptor Mortis You’re off to a strong start for Dark Eldar in this box. With twenty total Kabalite Warriors, you only need one more HQ to bring a Battalion. If you’ve seen the Dark Eldar flying lists and that appeals to you, you can always grab another cheap Archon and start funneling your money to Voidraven Bombers and such. If you want to build an army of something like Grotesques/Taloses, you’ll want to get a Haemonculous to start. Either way, this box is very good. Spirit Torment

Faction rules completely redesign the way the army is played, rewriting Nighthaunt into an incredibly mobile scalpel of an army.

With no solid physical form, Nighthaunt can retreat from combat and then charge in the same turn. They can all also fly, allowing them to move over terrain and models without hindrance. Their movement shenanigans can even begin before the first movement phase thanks to the Vanishing Phantasms rule. This allows you to remove three units from the battlefield at the end of deployment and put them into an ambush reserve, ready to enter play anywhere more than nine inches from all enemy units. They’re all also fast, most of them having a movement speed of eight inches or more. A whole host of artifacts, command traits, battle tactics and grand strategies you’ve come to expect from 3rd edition battletomes.

Nighthaunt paint scheme

A solid grab bag of things, but that is to be expected in a new, limited model range. This is basically tailor made for people who bought Dominion and are looking to expand their Kruleboyz set as a second squad of Gutrippaz will get them where they need to be with their 3 required battleline, and a reinforcement of Boltboyz would not go unappreciated.

In contention with Craventhrone Guard for the title of ‘worst warscroll in the book’, Glaivewraith Stalkers have at best stayed the same since their previous iteration. Yes, they’ve gained a point of damage and rent, and now you gain +3 to charge a unit chosen at the start of the game, but you’re losing 1” range and reroll failed hits on the turn you charged your victim while also going up to 105 points, from 65. This is a bad unit with great sculpts. Maybe next time, mari lwyd. Myrmourn Banshees Really good for keeping key heroes alive, and whats even better it heals at the end of the combat phase so may save you a command point on using Heroic Recovory.
