this is an utterly enchanting read and one of the very best father and child books I've seen in a long time. It was inspired by moving back to the area where I grew up and seeing the same streets, parks and buildings I had seen every day as a boy. It’s nice to see a “dad” portrayed as the nurturer, which is not very common amongst children books (I feel like the general norm tends to portray a mother).

introduces one lucky cub: his daddy bear is a bit goofy (he likes to play in the rain), confidently protective (his thick coat makes a good hiding place during a thunderstorm), always ready for adventure (whether it's swimming in the river or exploring the forests) and a great storyteller. Ashley is obsessed with her social standing at her own school, devastated by her dad moving out because he's gay. Simple sentence structure and easy to learn words will teach little beginning readers motor skills, language development and eye hand coordination. My father died about 30 years back, so this book was a painful yet joyful trip thru memory lane when I had a dad that treated me as well as he could, my mom's claims of his infidelity notwithstanding. He is also great at conveying the rabbit-in-the-headlights psychological response of a pre-teen boy who cares about his family but doesn’t know how to express his emotions.

This book can teach a child the components of a good relationship and prompt them into figuring out their role model in life. However, if the parcel has be sent and consequently ends up elsewhere, we will be unable to offer a refund. Combine this beautiful tale of a puppy and his dad with a Jellycat puppy and you have the perfect new baby gift. There are snapping crocodiles, stomping dinosaurs, sleeping princesses and golden treasure - but that's not even the best bit.Like many of you, we had a thought-provoking year, watching the world change before us during the pandemic. More and more titles are emerging that celebrate the special bond between fathers and their children; this one adds beautifully to that genre. This poem about a bear cub and the father who loves him enough to treat him to the good things life can offer is bittersweet and beautiful at the same time. This can teach children about single parent families and how the number of people in a family are all different. It showcases their close relationship from the beginning when the dad wakes his son up until bedtime when he tells him stories to fall asleep.

we will be able to trace the journey of your parcel through Royal Mail and if it has been delivered we will be able to obtain GPS tracking to ascertain its whereabouts. Perfect for 9+ readers and fans of Elle McNicoll, Lisa Thompson and Onjali Rauf's bestselling THE BOY AT THE BACK OF THE CLASS. This book us a treasure chest of delights - the more you look at the stunningly drawn illustrations, the more there is to discover - AND there's a running "secret" which is revealed at the very end.Nothing spectacular or really original here, but it's sweet to see such a cuddly daddy-focused book and the illustrations made me smile. This is a kind book which frames the topic of a parent coming out with a gentle story about decent people dealing as best they can with seismic changes to their lives, and one which will be warmly welcomed by readers waiting to read about a story that mirrors their own. Me and My Dad will keep little ones guessing right through to the final pages, and you'll love taking that journey together.
