Bokyo TV Movie Special (Based on her short story “みかんの花 Mikan no hana” Orange Flowers, “海の星 Umi no hoshi” Sea Stars and “雲の糸 Kumo no ito” Cloud Thread)(2016)

Staff, Strand (2015-03-26). "Strand Critics Award Nominees 2014". The Strand Magazine . Retrieved 2023-03-29. The film was selected as the Japanese entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 83rd Academy Awards. [9] In January 2011, it made the January shortlist and advanced to the next round of voting. [10] In Japan, it firstly won Best Film and Best Supporting Actress at the 53rd Blue Ribbon Awards, which is one of the most prestigious national cinema awards in Japan. Then, it won the awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Editor at the 34th Japan Academy Prize. [11] [12] Also, it had six nominations in 5th Asian Film Awards, which is one of the films with most nominations (with Let the Bullets Fly). Some parts are quite disturbing. Warnings for self-harm, harm to others amounting to crime and extreme neglect. This is where Minato’s writing style comes into its own. The passing between the teachers opening thoughts, a student within her class, and then the two killers gives a well-rounded view of the situation. Minato has some decent ideas here, though the kids' depravity is still a bit hard to credit (as are some of the details along the way).

Confessions

In April, the film won Best Asian Film (similar to Best Foreign Language Film, though only Asian films which have been screened in Hong Kong are admitted to join) at the 30th Hong Kong Film Awards. At the 31st Hong Kong Film Awards, the category of Best Asian Film was replaced by a new category called Best Film of Mainland and Taiwan which means that only Mainland Chinese and Taiwanese films can remain to compete for such an award. Therefore, Confessions has become the last winner of Best Asian Film. The writing is clear and precise, the plot is always engaging, and there’s plenty to think about long after reading. As you read through, a new awakening is discovered, creating an ever increasingly complex scenario around which to ponder.

Read this book so as to psychoanalyze the the characters. And I would say this is one book in the same genre of thrillers which comes as best after Keigo Higashino's ones. On the one hand, they should be justly punished by Moriguchi. However, the criminal system is set up for a reason, even if they’ll be trialled as minors, avoiding a harsher sentence. Movies With Box Office Gross Receipts Exceeding 1 Billion Yen". Eiren. Motion Picture Producers Association of Japan. 2010 . Retrieved 7 May 2020. The first chapter is a must read, a strong point of the story, a closing speech by the Moriguchi-sensei to her class. Even the movie adaptation made the strong dark atmosphere for the entire first chapter scene:
